Splice Technologies' "SMALL FORM RIBBON FIBER" series Splice Sleeve is specifically designed for applications where a small size fiber ribbon splice sleeve is required for high density applications. The after shrink dimensions are only 5.0mm X 2.6mm and will accommodate 2 - 12 fiber ribbon. It is available in 24, 30 & 40mm lengths and designed to work with all ribbon fusion splicers. This product may be installed in most single fiber splice sleeve holders like our SSH-S12 as seen in the picture below. This product is constructed with an EVA meltable adhesive inner tube, a polyolefin heat shrink outer tube, and two stainless steel strength members designed to "sandwich" the ribbon fiber minimizing undue stress on the fibers while providing maximum fiber uniformity and retentivity. This product utilizes the identical material formulations as that of our industry standard "Ribbon" series products. The entire assembly is designed to ensure that all members maintain perfect alignment during shipping, handling and shrinking.
